The People

Meet the Musicians

The 100-plus members of The Cleveland Orchestra perform year ‘round, at the group’s winter home at Severance Hall, its summer home at Blossom Music Center, on tours in the United States and around the world, and at residencies such as Miami and Vienna. Learn more.

About the Conductors

Franz Welser-Möst is the orchestra’s primary conductor or Music Director and is contracted through 2018. The Cleveland Orchestra also has a fulltime assistant conductor, James Feddeck, and a director of choruses, Robert Porco. Learn more.

Get Involved – Volunteer

The Orchestra auditions singers each year as volunteer members of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and Blossom Festival Chorus. Volunteers are also welcome to help the Orchestra as ushers and as members of a committee for education or fundraising projects. Learn more.

Volunteers Make a Difference

The Cleveland Orchestra has been supported by large numbers of dedicated volunteers since its founding in 1918. Opportunities for volunteering include membership in a variety of organizations and performing groups, and involvement with education, fundraising, and other projects.

The Orchestra’s Volunteer Council was established in 1998 to reinforce the impact that volunteers have on the mission of the Orchestra. The Cleveland Orchestra salutes all the hard-working and dedicated volunteers who provide extraordinary service and support.
