The Cleveland Orchestra
Henry Peyrebrune joined the bass section of The Cleveland Orchestra in 1997. Before coming to Cleveland, he served as principal bass with the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, Canada (1994-1997). He has also been principal bass of the Portland Symphony, the Pro Arte Chamber, Boston Philharmonic, and Cantata Singers orchestras, and has been a member of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and the Albany Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Peyrebrune has performed chamber music and recitals throughout New England. He holds a bachelor of music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Edwin Barker of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He also participated in Tanglewood and Kent/Blossom Music programs. Mr. Peyrebrune has taught at the University of Southern Maine, Longy School of Music, and Concord Academy. He is a Teaching Artist with The Cleveland Orchestra’s Learning Through Music school partnership program. In addition, he is currently on the faculty of the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music and serves on the board of trustees of the Broadway School of Music and the Arts in Cleveland.
