PNC Music Explorers (PreK-2)

Children ages 3-6 will love our Music Explorers concerts (formerly Musical Rainbows) which introduce the instruments of the orchestra one at a time. Join Cleveland Orchestra musicians and host for a lively 30-minute, interactive, music-packed adventure designed to engage, educate, and entertain young music explorers.

Education Concerts (Grades 3-8)

Join The Cleveland Orchestra and Assistant Conductor Vinay Parameswaran for Education Concerts in historic Severance Hall designed especially for students in Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8.  These themed concerts are aligned with state and national standards and supported by preparation materials. Thanks to a generous donor, we are now able to offer all schools free tickets to attend Education Concerts! Schools must complete the Education Concert Online Reservation Form (see link below to reserve seats). Your reservation is complete when you receive a confirmation email noting your confirmed concert date/times.

Friday Morning Concerts (Grades 9-12)

Immerse your high school students in a more traditional Cleveland Orchestra concert experience. These concerts are open to the general public and give students the opportunity to hear The Cleveland Orchestra and guest artists in historic Severance Hall. High Schools receive a special discounted group rate.

Mindful Music Moments (Pre-K through HS)

Mindful Music Moments is an easy to use, web-based program that combines classical music with mindfulness prompts delivered over the morning announcements in schools. It’s designed to reduce stress and anxiety, increase exposure to classical music, and start each school day with a period of calm and focus for the entire school community. The daily, 4-minute routine focuses on one classical music piece each week paired with mindfulness prompts that provide a tangible tool for social/emotional well-being, brought to you by The Cleveland Orchestra and City Silence.

Mindful Music Moments was recently featured on the national PBS NewsHour and locally on Fox 8.

Over 100 schools across Ohio, representing more than 50,000 students in grades K-12, have experienced the life-changing musical experience of Mindful Music Moments. PNC Grow Up Great: Musical Neighborhoods

The Cleveland Orchestra partners with 18 Cleveland Metropolitan School District pre-school classrooms to develop school-readiness skills using music through “Musical Neighborhoods”, our PNC Grow Up Great program. Students learn key academic, social, motor and musical skills through classroom visits from Cleveland Orchestra musicians, field trips to Severance Hall, and resources for the classroom.

Learning Through Music

COMING SOON: Learning Through Music Digital Database: Arts-Integrated Lesson Plans. Over the past 20 years, The Cleveland Orchestra partnered with Cleveland and East Cleveland elementary schools, utilizing music to reinforce and catalyze classroom learning. Teachers were equipped with arts integration resources and lesson plans that aligned with Ohio’s Learning and Fine Arts Standards to inspire students in the classroom. Those award-winning Cleveland Orchestra lesson plans will be available for all teachers through our online, searchable database at https://www.clevelandorchestra.com/lessonlibrary.
