Digital Marketing & Website Manager
The Cleveland Orchestra is seeking an experienced digital/online marketing professional to join our Sales & Communications team as Digital Marketing & Website Manager. Reporting to the Director of Sales, provides strategic direction and tactical implementation for the Orchestra’s online communication channels, including website, mobile website application, email marketing, and social media outlets with the goal of generating ticket sales, inspiring donor philanthropy, and increasing patron engagement with the Orchestra’s activities and performances. The position serves as the organization’s primary webmaster to effectively prioritize and optimize the website for ticket sales and communication, providing project management and implementation for day-to-day website/mobile app updating and internet patron communications and promotions.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication design, web design, visual arts, communications, or related field with three years related work experience that demonstrates proficiency in web page creation/management, themed/integrated campaigns, and social/viral marketing campaigns; proficiency in web work software (CSS , XHTML , JavaScript, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Express, After Effects); experience with Google analytics and SEO; able to focus promotional messaging into effective words; high level of creativity with attention to detail and consistency; able to prioritize and meet deadlines; able to think strategically and offer solutions; strong organizational and time-management skills; self-motivated; ability to multitask; interest and knowledge of music is a plus.
Publications Production Manager
The Cleveland Orchestra is seeking an experienced design professional, with strong project management skills, to join our Sales & Communications team as Publications Production Manager. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this individual is responsible for managing the production of The Cleveland Orchestra’s information and marketing publications, working with internal and external resources/vendors to ensure accurate, on-time, and effective published materials (including season subscription and ticket sales brochures, direct mail and related patron communication materials, and other publications), and in coordinating seasonal creative direction and branding with the Program Book Editor.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Bachelor’s degree in related field with minimum 3 years experience in design/production management and print procurement; demonstrated high level of proficiency in hands-on electronic desktop publishing and creation in a PC environment; sensitivity to and understanding for integrating visual and written elements to achieve effective communication; exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong marketing orientation; knowledge of orchestral music a plus.
Part-Time Groundskeeper
The Cleveland Orchestra has an opening for a Part-time Groundskeeper for Severance Hall. Position is responsible for general maintenance of the grounds, which includes taking out the trash, keeping the public areas surrounding Severance Hall free from debris, as well as snow and ice removal during the winter months, watering flower beds and other miscellaneous maintenance, including occasional cleaning of all public areas in Severance Hall.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Minimum of 2 years of experience of general maintenance of grounds; cleaning and/or doing janitorial work, ability to work independently and thoroughly, a strong service orientation, and the ability to lift 75 pounds.
The hours of the position are 8am-noon, M-F; with some occasional weekend work.
The qualified candidate must be able to become a member of The Service Employees International Union, Local 1.
Development Leadership Officer
The Cleveland Orchestra’s Development department is seeking a dynamic, experienced fundraiser to join our team as Major Gifts Officer. Reporting to the Director, Leadership Giving, this position is responsible for the generation $7+ million in annual revenue. This individual is focused on increasing contributed revenue from Orchestra patrons giving annually at the $2,500 level and higher. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and implementation of a comprehensive program for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual donors. The Major Gifts Officer will maintain a portfolio of approximately 150 major gift prospects, and will conduct 5-8 prospect meetings per week to move potential donors through the comprehensive campaign engagement and solicitation process.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, Master’s Degree preferred; minimum of 3-5 years of major gifts fundraising with a proven track record of success in closing 7 figure gifts; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; demonstrated proficiency in computer software programs, including experience with fundraising databases in a PC environment.
