Development Associate

The Cleveland Orchestra has an opening for a Senior Development Associate in its dynamic Development department. The Associate joins a team of fundraising managers providing administrative and operational support for the Chief Development Officer and Director of Development, as well as staffing related committees and activities of the board of trustees. The individual in this position represents the department to the highest level constituents and also supports major capital campaign fundraising and annual fund activities. Specific responsibilities include support for the calls management process, assistance with administration of Board and selected Committee meetings/activities, executive administrative support, and serve as liaison to the key Board and senior staff management on behalf of the Development Department.

Requirements include

Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, with minimum 4-6 years prior similar experience; experience with managing a non profit board and volunteer committees a plus; superior interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills with professional demeanor; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong attention to detail; demonstrated proficiency in computer software programs, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite and data base applications.

Leadership Giving Officer

The Cleveland Orchestra’s Development department is seeking a dynamic, experienced major gift fundraiser to join our team as Leadership Giving Officer. Reporting to the Director, Leadership Giving, this position is responsible for the generation $7+ million in annual revenue. This individual is focused on increasing contributed revenue from Orchestra patrons giving annually at the $2,500 level and higher. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and implementation of a comprehensive program for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual donors. The Leadership Giving Officer will maintain a portfolio of approximately 150 major gift prospects, and will conduct 5-8 prospect meetings per week to move potential donors through the comprehensive campaign engagement and solicitation process

Requirements include

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, Master’s Degree preferred; minimum of 3-5 years of major gifts fundraising or related calls experience with a proven track record of success in closing 7 figure gifts; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; demonstrated proficiency in computer software programs, including experience with fundraising databases in a PC environment.

Patron Systems Manager

The Cleveland Orchestra is seeking an individual to join our team as Patron Systems Manager. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this individual is responsible for planning and managing the Orchestra's operations as they relate to the Tessitura database with the end result of maximizing the use of this system to increase earned and contributed revenue. Our goal is to bring our institution’s use of Tessitura to the forefront of the broader Tessitura community and become a leader in the industry. Specific duties include: oversee the execution of all centralized Tessitura processes and set-ups; develop and manage revenue-driving enhancements to Tessitura which enable segment managers to generate incremental revenue; oversee data integrity; ensure the integration of Tessitura with the Orchestra’s website; lead a cross-departmental team to review and recommend best practices.

Requirements include

Bachelor’s degree in related field required, along with 3-5 years previous similar experience; exceptional computer skills; familiarity with Tessitura a plus; strong communication skills, along with the ability to lead a project team and achieve overall organizational goals.

Retail Cashier

The Cleveland Orchestra is seeking a part-time retail cashier, for our upscale gift stores at Severance Hall and Blossom Music Center. Responsibilities include assisting with customer inquiries, merchandising, and inventory control.  This individual will work approximately 10-12 hours per week in the afternoons, and evenings and weekends on occasion.

Requirements include

High school diploma with previous retail and/or merchandising experience required. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as computer and point of sale systems proficiency. Inventory control and volunteer management experience are desirable.
