The Artists

James Feddeck is completing his first seasn of a three-year term as assistant conductor of The Cleveland Orchestra. He studied piano, organ, oboe, and conducting at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and subsequently was a fellow at the American Academy of Conducting in Aspen. Read more about James Feddeck.

Andrew Grams served as assistant conductor of The Cleveland Orchestra 2004-07 and is now guest conducting across the United States and in Europe. With schooling at Juilliard and Curtis, Grams is also a gifted violinist and has performed as associate principal second violin with the New York City Ballet.

Canadian violinist Karen Gomyo performs as soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician across Europe, North and South America, and Asia. She is making her Cleveland Orchestra debut with this Blossom Festival concert. Born in Tokyo to a Japanese painter and a French professor of philosophy, she was raised in Montreal She received an Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2008. Read more about Karen Gomyo.
