Overview
At a Glance
This special Family Concert combines music and mime to introduce young audiences to the life and music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. An impetuous street musician is caught playing the orchestra’s grand piano. She is offered the chance (much to her surprise) to “be Mozart” for this program about one of the most famous composers of all time. The street musician and her prankster companion lead the audience on a musical adventure that reveals the very human story of Mozart’s life — and his musical genius. Audiences will enjoy excerpts of some of Mozart’s most famous works, including Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Papageno’s Bird Song from The Magic Flute, and more. For ages 7 and up.
The Family Concert series is sponsored by Giant Eagle.
