Der Rosenkavalier lecture: "The Name of the Rose"

Internationally recognized opera expert Perry Lorenzo will present a free lecture on Der Rosenkavalier, titled "The Name of the Rose", on June 1 in Reinberger Chamber hall.

Free general admission tickets are available through the Severance Hall Ticket Office at (216) 231-1111 or online (click "Purchase Tickets").

Mr. Lorenzo also will present two lectures at public libraries on Der Rosenkavalier presented in collaboration wtih Opera Circle/Operatic Adventures: Monday, June 4, at 7:00 p.m. at Westlake Porter Public Library (27333 Center Ridge Road), sponsored by Westshore Arts Council; and on Tuesday, June 5, at 7:00 p.m. at the Beachwood Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library (25501 Shaker Boulevard) sponsored by the Friends of the Beachwood Library. These lectures are free and open to the public, and no reservations are necessary.

Richard Strauss: His Life ~ His Inspirations also includes the season-ending performances on June 7 & 9 of Richard Strauss’s comic opera Der Rosenkavalier, led by Franz Welser-Möst with Choruses and an international cast.
