Franz Welser-Möst, conductor
Wagner: Prelude to Act III of Lohengrin
Wagner: Overture to Rienzi
Wagner: Prelude & Love-Death – Tristan and Isolde
Wagner: Prelude to Act I of Lohengrin

Concert begins at 7 p.m. Experience pure orchestral force when Franz Welser-Möst leads The Cleveland Orchestra in some of Richard Wagner’s most famous opera masterpieces including the romantic preludes of Lohengrin, the love-drenched Tristan and Isolde, and the strong and stirring Rienzi

After the concert, there’s more! Music, food, and drinks. National Public Radio called Simon Shaheen’s middle eastern oud playing, “a staggering tour-de-force of technique and passion.”  He’ll be joined in an east-meets-west jam session by percussionist Jamey Haddad and violinist Joel Smirnoff along with a back-up band of mixed instruments. Irresistible rhythm + exotic music = FUN.
