Chris Botti appears with The Cleveland Orchestra
in third program of 2009-10 Celebrity Series
at Severance Hall on April 24
Final concert in new series is sold out; limited number of “prom” chairs available
CLEVELAND, April 9, 2010 – The Cleveland Orchestra presents the third and final program in its new three-concert Celebrity Series at Severance Hall on Saturday, April 24, at 8:00 p.m. The new Celebrity Series explores avenues of orchestral music that stretch beyond the borders of the classical world – movie scores, jazz, Broadway, and beyond. The April 24 program, featuring jazz trumpeter Chris Botti and led by Cleveland Orchestra Assistant Conductor James Feddeck, is sold out. A limited number of “prom” chair seats are available through the Severance Hall Ticket Office (see below).
For the April 24 concert, jazz trumpeter Chris Botti joins The Cleveland Orchestra for an evening that combines jazz standards and classical hits. Botti has recorded familiar songs including “When I Fall in Love” and “To Love Again” and has worked with Joshua Bell, Michael BublĂ©, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Yo-Yo Ma, Frank Sinatra, and Sting. He also has performed with many leading symphony orchestras and at prestigious events including the World Series and the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony. Botti’s 2008 performances with the Boston Pops, titled Chris Botti in Boston, have been featured on the PBS network, with which he has an ongoing association, and are available on CD, DVD, and Blu-ray.

Ticket Services: The Severance Hall Ticket Office is located in the Smith Lobby. The entrance and 15-minute Ticket Service parking are along East Boulevard.

Parking
For evening concerts at Severance Hall, parking can be purchased for $10 per vehicle, when space permits, in the Campus Center Garage (the underground garage located directly behind Severance Hall). Pre-paid parking for the Campus Center Garage can be purchased in advance through the Ticket Office at the cost of $14 per concert (this includes City of Cleveland parking tax and handling fee). The pre-paid parking ensures patrons a parking space, but availability of these pre-paid parking passes is limited.
