The Joffrey Ballet joins The Cleveland Orchestra
for Labor Day Weekend performances
September 4 and 5: The Joffrey Ballet and The Cleveland Orchestra perform program featuring two new ballets, Kudelka’s Pretty BALLET and Liang’s Age of Innocence, in addition to works by Arpino, Balanchine, and Petipa

Following acclaimed appearances with The Cleveland Orchestra at the Blossom Festival in August 2009, the world-renowned Joffrey Ballet returns to Blossom over Labor Day weekend. The company joins The Cleveland Orchestra on Saturday, September 4 at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 5 at 8:30 p.m. to perform two new contemporary ballets on a program of five diverse works from the Chicago company’s repertory. The Orchestra will play from Blossom’s orchestra pit under the direction of Cleveland Orchestra Assistant Conductor Tito Muñoz. The performances mark the final concerts of the 2010 Blossom Festival season.
As always, Lawn Ticket holders are welcome to move to the General Admission area at the rear of the Pavilion, at no extra charge. Seating is first come, first served in this block of 1,500 seats.

Age of Innocence
- Choreography: Edwaard Liang, former New York City Ballet soloist
- Music: Philip Glass and Thomas Newman
- Called “a newly minted masterpiece” by the Chicago Sun-Times at the time of its October 2008 premiere, Age of Innocence pairs 19th-century Romanticism with athletic prowess and a contemporary sensibility.

Tickets
$200 tickets include Lot A parking, dinner, preferred Area 1 seating, and the post-concert “Meet the Performers” dessert reception. Guests who already have their ballet tickets are charged $125 per person for Lot A parking, dinner, and the post-concert reception. $50 tickets includes a parking pass, reserved premier lawn seating, and the post-concert “Meet the Performers” dessert reception.

Select Your Own Seats
This summer, for the first time, Blossom patrons can select their own seats online. Clicking on any “Buy Ticket” button at will link to the Ticket Reservations page. This ticket ordering page automatically displays the new “Select Your Own Seat” option (if applicable). Patrons may alternatively select the “Choose Best Available” option.
Print-at-Home Tickets
This summer, for the first time, Blossom patrons have the option of printing their tickets at home. Choose the new “Print-at-Home” option on the Delivery Method page during checkout at clevelandorchestra.com.

Venue information: Blossom Music Center, which opened in 1968 as the summer home of The Cleveland Orchestra, is located at 1145 Steels Corners Road, Cuyahoga Falls, 25 miles south of Cleveland, just north of Akron, Ohio.
