Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
screened complete, with live underscore performed
by the Blossom Festival Orchestra, July 16
Saturday, July 16, at 9 p.m
Richard Kaufman conducts the Blossom Festival Orchestra and members of the Blossom Festival Chorus in a full-length screening of Disney’s hit film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (running time: 2 hours, 23 minutes, plus a 20-minute intermission). The performance marks the first time in the U.S. that the movie’s underscore will be performed live by an orchestra and chorus as the movie is shown. The audience will watch the film on jumbo screens visible from the Pavilion and the Lawn. (Note later starting time.)

Two young people under 18 will be admitted free to the Lawn with each adult ticket purchased; they must be accompanied by an adult. Lawn Passes for “Under 18s” are available online, at the Severance Hall Ticket Office, or at the Blossom Box Office the day of the concert.
