The Cleveland Orchestra presents
third and fourth sets of PNC Musical Rainbow
concerts for the 2011-12 season at Severance Hall
“Spectacular Strings” program features violinist Alexandra Preucil and cellist David Alan Harrell on February 10 and 11
“The Cool Clarinet” program features Robert Woolfrey on March 16 and 17

Cleveland Orchestra violinist Alexandra Preucil and Cleveland Orchestra cellist David Alan Harrell will introduce children ages 3-6 to “Spectacular Strings” in PNC Musical Rainbow concerts, held in Severance Hall’s Reinberger Chamber Hall. There will be one performance on Friday, February 10 at 10 a.m., and two Saturday performances, Saturday, February 11, at 10 a.m. and Saturday, February 11, at 11 a.m. Local actress and singer Maryann Nagel hosts the 30-minute programs for young children, which include narration, demonstration, short solo selections, and audience participation.

This season, as part of its Grow Up Great initiative in Cleveland, PNC is sponsoring the Musical Rainbows Series for preschoolers as well as a wide range of other activities and programs designed to give very young children “A Great Early Start in the Arts.” PNC Musical Rainbow programs introduce very young children to the instruments of the orchestra, one at a time.
PNC Musical Rainbow Concerts are endowed by the Pysht Fund.

The Severance Hall Ticket Office is located in the Smith Lobby. The entrance and 15-minute Ticket Service parking are along East Boulevard. The Ticket Office is open 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday-Friday and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The office is closed Sundays and holidays, except for those days with performances, when it opens 3 hours before concert start time.
