In March and April 2019, The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Möst embark on their nineteenth tour together, with eleven performances scheduled across Asia in seven cities: Taipei, Macao, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, and Beijing.

Tour Schedule

The tour’s repertoire features four big musical works, two from the 19th century and two from the 20th, with Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto (No. 5) with soloist Daniil Trifonov and Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony, alongside Richard Strauss’s epic tone poem Ein Heldenleben and Prokofiev’s enigmatic Symphony No. 3.
