Volunteer Committees

Friends of The Cleveland Orchestra

Friends of The Cleveland Orchestra is dedicated to providing support for our world-class Orchestra through music education activities, volunteer service, and fund-raising opportunities. The committee offers its Meet the Artist luncheon and program throughout the season along with a benefit each year. Founded as the Women's Committee of The Cleveland Orchestra in 1921 by Adella Prentiss Hughes, the Orchestra's first general manager, Friends of The Cleveland Orchestra today welcomes both men and women as members.

Blossom Friends of The Cleveland Orchestra

Blossom Friends of The Cleveland Orchestra, established in 1968, leads projects dedicated to promoting and sustaining The Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center. These projects also raise funds toward Blossom’s long-term financial stability. Activities include sponsoring the Opening Night concert of each summer's Blossom Music Festival, hosting an annual recognition event for musicians, presenting a series of meet-the-artist Gourmet Matinee luncheons featuring Cleveland Orchestra musicians, and staffing the Blossom Information Center.
