A program filled with musical tricks and treats! Delight in the musical magic of Dukas’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and hold on to your witches’ hats for even more bewitching music! Come dressed in your Halloween best for costume contests for audience members and Orchestra musicians. The costume contest will take place at 2:00 p.m., along with Instrument Discovery and more Halloween fun!

Pre-Concert Activities


To enter the contest, join the line at the entrance to Reinberger Chamber Hall.  Ten prizes will be awarded.  Judging begins at 2 p.m.

INSTRUMENT DISCOVERY with Royalton Music Center (Smith Lobby, ground floor)

Kids can discover their “inner musician” by trying out orchestral instruments with the assistance of Royalton Music Center staff.  (

SING AND SWING (Smith Lobby, ground floor)

Even the littlest musicians can join the fun with Sing and Swing's Play Along Jam. Children 0-5 can play an assortment of child friendly percussion instruments with their parents and the instructors from Sing and Swing (

THE DANCE CENTRE by Heidi Glynias (Bogomolny-Kozerefski Grand Foyer)
featuring Michael Jackson’s Thriller and more!!

Just in time for Halloween, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” comes to life at Severance Hall, recreated by The Dance Centre.

Severance Restaurant

Severance Restaurant at Severance Hall is operated by Marigold Catering and features contemporary American cuisine in an elegant setting.  

The restaurant is located on the street level of Severance Hall along East Boulevard.
