Sae Shiragami


Sae Shiragami joined The Cleveland Orchestra at the beginning of the 2001-02 season. Prior to this appointment, she was a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and principal second violin of the Houston Symphony. Ms. Shiragami holds a bachelor of music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a master of music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Her teachers have included Donald Weilerstein, Isidore Tinkleman, and Miwako Watanabe. She has won prizes in the American String Teachers Association National Competition, Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, and a San Francisco Chevron Concert Series award.
