To our August 20 Harry Potter Blossom ticket holders
We apologize to those who were turned away at Blossom. We made this decision for safety, due to severe weather with the threat of lightning throughout the evening and the risk given the open and exposed areas of the Blossom parking lots and grounds.
To request a ticket exchange (including options for the August 21 Harry Potter performance or other Orchestra performances at Blossom this season ) or refund, please email the Box Office boxoffice@clevelandorchestra.com with either “exchange” or “refund” messaging in the email subject line. We are working on inquiries as efficiently as possible and appreciate your understanding.
For Pavilion ticket holders who were turned away after 6:30PM
We understand your frustration. The severe weather presented itself at the exact time most of our guests began arriving for the evening. We were concerned about the danger of people being out in the open in the Blossom parking lots and grounds the threat of lightning throughout the evening and with concern for the safety of all, we had to evacuate the lawn. We allowed people into the Pavilion who had been on the grounds between when they opened at 4:30.
For those who are frustrated that the Summit County Sheriff told you that the August 20 concert was canceled, this was our mistake in communicating to them. We apologize for poor communication.
Overall, we are reviewing our severe/threatening weather policies to make sure we do better.
For Tonight's Concert (8/21)
For guests planning to attend tonight’s August 21 performance of Harry Potter at Blossom, we are planning to go ahead and with the performance, even if there is rain. If there is a threat of severe weather with lightning, for everyone’s safety we will hold the concert until the threat has passed.
