May 5, 2022 The Cleveland Orchestra returns to international touring in 2022 to Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne, Dresden, Hamburg, Linz, Lucerne, Prague, and Vienna

In August and September 2022, The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Möst embark on their 20th international tour together, with 12 performances in nine European cities: Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne, Dresden, Hamburg, Linz, Lucerne, Prague, and Vienna. Over the course of three weeks from August 31 to September 16, the tour’s concert programs will feature the music of Berg, Bruckner, Rihm, Schubert, Strauss, as well as Mozart with pianist Igor Levit.

May 2, 2022 Free Tickets for The Cleveland Orchestra’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Concert will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.

The Cleveland Orchestra’s free, annual concert in celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. takes place in the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Concert Hall at Severance Music Center on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. led by Associate Conductor Vinay Parameswaran featuring soprano Jacqueline Echols and narrator Tony Sias.

Mar 23, 2022 The Cleveland Orchestra returns to Florida, expanding its Miami residency to three weeks in 2022-23 season, marking its 16th year at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County

The Cleveland Orchestra returns to The Sunshine State for performances in Miami. Marking its 16th year in Florida, the Orchestra performs works by Ravel, Varèse, and Debussy in November 2022, plus Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Respighi, and Deutsch in January 2023. Music Director Franz Welser-Möst leads the January performances and is joined by guest violinist Lisa Batiashvili for Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, while Michael Tilson Thomas conducts the November concerts and is joined by guest pianist George Li for Debussy’s Fantaisie for Piano and Orchestra.

Mar 11, 2022 The Cleveland Orchestra announces next two recording releases, featuring music by Richard Strauss and George Walker, led by Music Director Franz Welser-Möst

The Strauss album features three of Richard Strauss's early tone poems (Macbeth, Don Juan, and Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks), providing a tantalizing window into Welser-Möst's reputation as a renowned conductor of Strauss’s music. The George Walker album offers an exploration of the composer’s Pulitzer Prize–winning Lilacs for voice and orchestra with soprano Latonia Moore, as well as Antifonys for string orchestra, and Sinfonias No. 4 and No. 5.

IDAGIO, the world’s leading audio and video classical streaming platform, announces today a new collaboration with The Cleveland Orchestra, beginning with the launch of twelve streamed events in the Global Concert Hall. The Cleveland Orchestra announces its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Award winners for 2022: Joan Southgate, Dolores White, and the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center. Established to recognize extraordinary contributions by individuals and organizations that have positively impacted Cleveland in the spirit of Dr. King’s teachings, the MLK Community Service Awards recognize these women and this organization for their outstanding contributions to the Cleveland community.

Nineteen concerts are currently part of the 2022 Blossom Music Festival, which runs from Fourth of July through Labor Day weekends (July 2 – September 4) at the Orchestra’s scenic summer home nestled in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Subscriptions are on sale now, with individual tickets available for purchase on Monday, April 4.

Today, The Cleveland Orchestra announced details of the second season of In Focus, its digital streaming concert series on adella.live and the Adella digital streaming app. Following its successful launch in 2020 and series of fifteen episodes in Season 1, the second season of In Focus, running from February to June, includes a total of six new episodes.

Jan 10, 2022 The Cleveland Orchestra Cancels January 2022 Adrienne Arsht Center concerts and residency

The Cleveland Orchestra regrets to announce the cancellation of its 2022 Miami residency in partnership with the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. The decision has been made for the safety of the Orchestra and traveling staff due to the steady increase of Covid-19 cases and high transmission rating from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
