The Cleveland Orchestra announced its 2023–24 Family Concert Series and Music Explorers Series at Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Concert Hall and Reinberger Chamber Hall at Severance Music Center. There are three concerts in the Family Concert Series, each with a different theme. These performances are designed to engage and entertain children ages 7 and up, and all last under an hour.

The Cleveland Orchestra announces details of the 17th year of its Miami residency in partnership with the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. Spanning three weeks during the 2023-24 season, it includes concerts at the Arsht Center’s Knight Concert Hall with conductor Stéphane Denève on November 17 and 18, 2023 Cleveland Orchestra Music Director Franz Welser-Möst on January 26 and 27, 2024 and Karina Canellakis on February 2 and 3, 2024. The residency also includes education initiatives and community programming for Miami-Dade County School students.

The Cleveland Orchestra announced a $1 million gift to the Orchestra’s general endowment to establish the Gay Cull Addicott and Robert R. Cull Fund, from the estate of the late Gay Cull Addicott, a Cleveland Orchestra Trustee for Life. Gay served as a trustee from 2002 to 2022.

The Cleveland Orchestra announced the hiring of Jejuana C. Brown in the senior team role of Director of Diversity & Inclusion. Ms. Brown assumes this position starting Wednesday, January 11. Reporting directly to The Cleveland Orchestra’s President & CEO and in close collaboration with the Vice President, Human Resources, as well as all executive and senior leadership, the Director of Diversity & Inclusion is a new position responsible for guiding and implementing efforts to define, understand, assess, and cultivate diversity.
