Service in the Arts Awards
Each year, The Cleveland Orchestra recognizes individuals or organizations for their positive impact on music and the arts, reflecting the spirit, example and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
MLK Celebration Chorus
The MLK Chorus lifts its collective voice in affirmation of Dr. King’s vision of justice, peace and human harmony. Assembled since 1989 to sing as part of the annual MLK Celebration Concert, this volunteer community chorus brings together singers from across Northeast Ohio and is directed by William Henry Caldwell.
Open House & Day of Music
Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with free community performances and activities! This family-friendly event features a wide-variety of community ensembles live from Severance’s Mandel Concert Hall and Reinberger Chamber Hall.
