Sarah Kirkland Snider is on the forefront of reimagining classical music for a 21st-century audience. Named one of the “Top 35 Female Composers in Classical Music” by The Washington Post, Snider is know for striking and luminous works that have been performed by musicians ranging from the New York Philharmonic to Renée Fleming. Her albums Penelope and Mass for the Endangered received widespread acclaim, and The Blue Hour — a song cycle created in collaboration with Rachel Grimes, Angélica Negrón, Shara Nova, and Caroline Shaw — was released in fall 2022.
