Blossom comes to life with two exciting programs this week. On Thursday, violinist and conductor Itzhak Perlman joins The Cleveland Orchestra for an evening of Beethoven. Then, this weekend, the Orchestra presents Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets™.
Six Decades of Perlman Memories
The Cleveland Orchestra has a long-standing relationship with violinist Itzhak Perlman. From 1966–93, he performed in Cleveland more than 20 times, both with the Orchestra and in recital. More recently, he performed Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D major at the 2013 Gala with conductor Vassily Sinaisky. In 2025, his klezmer collage, In the Fiddler's House, had people dancing in the aisles, and this past January, he joined the Orchestra in Miami for a program of film music favorites.
