What is Adella?
Adella is The Cleveland Orchestra's digital home. It’s a streaming service and app where you can watch concerts live, enjoy beautifully filmed performances on demand, go behind the scenes with our musicians and guest artists, and explore treasures from the Orchestra's archive. It's named after our pioneering founder, Adella Prentiss Hughes, and launched in 2020.

What's included with a subscription?
Everything: live broadcasts from Severance (and, this season, from the European tour), our growing library of filmed concerts, Adella Premieres, documentaries, artist conversations, educational videos, archival performances, and our audio albums. This is all on any screen, as often as you like.

Is any content free?
Yes! Adella offers a mix of free and premium content. Livestreams and our digital concert series require an Adella subscription. Audio albums, educational videos and other free selections can be browsed at any time at adella.live.

Do I need to be a Cleveland Orchestra ticket-buyer to subscribe?
Not at all. Adella is open to everyone, anywhere in the world.

Watching

Which devices can I watch on?
Adella works on the web and through apps for iPhone and iPad, Apple TV, Roku, Android and Android TV, and Amazon Fire TV. Start on your phone and finish on your television, your place is saved across devices.

How do the live broadcasts work?
Live performances stream in real time on the date and time listed. No ticket or separate purchase needed beyond your subscription. Just sign in a few minutes before the start and press play. Time zones are shown in ET; the season opener from Paris on 6 October, for example, streams at 2 p.m. ET (8 p.m. in Paris).

Can I watch a livestream later if I miss it?
Yes. Livestreams stay on Adella for 14 days. Then, many live broadcasts return to the library as on-demand films and Adella Premieres after they air, so you can catch up on your own schedule.

Are performances captioned?
Yes. Automated captions are available on most devices.

Your Account & Sign-in

How do I sign in the first time?
Enter your email at adella.live and set a password. Choose a monthly or annual subscriptin. Enter your payment details and click start subscription.

I forgot my password.
On the sign-in page, click "Reset your password." We'll email you a link to set a new one.

Subscriptions & Billing

How much does Adella cost?
An Adella Premium subscription is $14.99/month or $119.99/year (our best value).

Is there a free trial?
No, there is no free trial.

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel whenever you like from your account settings; you'll keep access through the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again. Plans do not auto-renew if cancelled before renewal.

Will my subscription renew automatically?
Yes. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically so your access is uninterrupted. You can turn off renewal at any time in your account.

I subscribed through an app (Apple/Google). How do I manage or cancel it?
Subscriptions purchased in the Apple or Google apps are billed and managed through your Apple or Google account, so you'll manage or cancel them there rather than on your account at Adella.live.

Do prices include tax/VAT?
Applicable taxes or VAT are calculated at checkout based on your location.

Can I watch from outside the United States?
Yes. Adella is available worldwide, and international customers are billed in supported local currencies where available.

Gifts

Can I give Adella as a gift?
Yes. An Adella gift subscription is a wonderful way to share the Orchestra with someone who loves music. Choose a gift subscription at checkout and we'll guide you through it. Start at the subscription page and choose the ‘Gift this subscription’ option.

How does the recipient redeem a gift?
They'll receive an email with a link and simple instructions to activate their access and set their password. No payment details required to begin.
